Road Trip next week

Next week I'll be on a two day / two MLB game road trip.  Three other guys from church and I are headed north to Cleveland to watch the Indians play host to the Yankees.  The next day we'll head back south to Cincinnati to watch the Reds play host to the Cubs in a day game.

I've never been to Progressive Field.  I've also never been to the Great American Ball Park.  Cinergy Field?  Yes.  In 2001.  Has it been that long?  It was the Cubs that night, too.

So, for those of you that have been to these two parks, what advice can you give re: seating, parking, regional foods, etc.?  Anything I have to do while visiting these parks?

If you're going to be at the ball parks on Wednesday, July 9 (Cleveland) or Thursday, July 10 (Cincinnati), let me know and we'll try to meet up.

  2. The Retired Numbers in CLE are set up so that Larry Doby share the same area as Jackie Robinson which is a nice touch. Bob Feller statue outside stadium (CF I think)

  3. In Cincinnati, there is a Walgreens on the NE corner of 4th and Main https://goo.gl/maps/1YTFI - enter off Main street. We have been parking there for years. Two blocks away from the ballpark, cheaper parking. There is also a Skyline Chili a block east along 4th, which is a Cincinnati staple. Inside the park, you can get United Dairy Farmers ice cream - very good on hot days.

Cincinnati streets are laid out on a grid, and alternate one-way driving. If you miss a turn, wait two blocks and catch the next street going the same direction.

Buy your peanuts and ice water outside the park and save lots of money. Probably true everywhere.

Don't know much about the ball park attractions. There's a Reds Museum that I haven't gone into.

    Enjoy the game!
