Gently Loved Entertainment Cards - part 2

Another day, another mess of cards. This time it is Superman.  Series 1 had white borders.  Series 2 had red borders.  What else do you need to know?

I didn't really have strong feelings about this movie.  Or the seventeen sequels.  No, wait.  That's Batman.
1978 Topps Superman The Movie - Series 1
Christopher Reeve as The Man of Steel (card # 1)
They had to hire a Canadian to play Lois Lane?
1978 Topps Superman The Movie - Series 1
Margot Kidder as Lois Lane (card # 3)
Time for a new library.
1978 Topps Superman The Movie - Series 1
Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor (card # 76)

Too many trademark symbols in the captions.  It was almost like you were looking at baseball cards.
1978 Topps Superman The Movie - Series 2
Superman In Metropolis (card # 115)
Classic image.
1978 Topps Superman The Movie - Series 2
Clark Kent Transforms Into Superman! (card # 130)
Did he use Jheri Curl to get that little Kewpie Doll lock thing going?
1978 Topps Superman The Movie - Series 2
Visitor from Another Planet (card # 155)

  1. I saw it with a date when it came out. I really liked it. The score was nominated for an Oscar. Here's the theme, sung my Maureen McGovern,

  2. since Joe Shuster, a Canadian, invented Superman AND Lois Lane, yes. A Canadian actually played Lois Lane.
The image of Superman was also based on sketches of local Ontario actors that Shuster saw in plays and movies while living in Toronto.

    1. CC, I think that you took my line in the wrong way. Okay, maybe you didn't. I learned something here. So it should be TJCW instead of TJAW?
